Kiko - Make up Milano

It makes me really excited to write this Blog surrounding Kiko Make up, as I had never really heard of it before up until recently. Their brand really is amazing!

I bought a few products and the total came to less than £35! in comparison to other leading Make up brands this is a complete saving for me, as with other Make up brands I would be lucky to get 2/3 products for this amount.

Today I visited their new store in Leeds Trinity Walk, if you haven't been yet, then definitely go and experiment when you get the chance to!

So.... here is what I bought..
Kiko - Cheeky Colour, Creamy Blush in the shade 01 (a peachy orange colour) at a fabulous price of £5.50 as it was in the sale.

Kiko - Mixing Solution, this is used for when mixing pigments together to ensure the highest blendability and hold, this cost £3.90 which I think is brilliant for a 50ml bottle which will last me a while.

Kiko- Extra Volume Lipgloss, in the shade 14. (pearlescent lilac colour) for £2.90 which again was in the sale, and I like the sound of this gloss and what it does for you. Clinically tested to create Volume, Fullness and Smoothness in time and also Maximum Moisture for the entire day.

Kiko - Colour Sphere, Duo Eye Shadow in the shade 211. This is a Dark green with glitter duo which you can also mix with water to help blend onto the eye for a better all day hold. This was £4.80.

I got Kiko - Infinity Eyeshadows in the shades 253, 407 & 273. These cost £5.90 each. These shadows are incredibly pigmented, easy to blend and are like velvet to touch. Just like the shadow above you can also use these wet or dry.

As I bought 3 of these lovely colours, I got a FREE palette, as part of the [Clics]System reusable palette container. They come in different sizes so dependent on how many you buy the palettes are available with 1, 3, 4, 9 or 24 compartments. (I could of easily gone up to 24 shadows, but restrained myself)

I go to Venice, Italy at the end of October, so really looking forward to visiting the store there. I would highly recommend them for value as well as highly pigmented colours.

So I have Lilac Hair...

It's been a tad longer than I expected I would next blog, but it has been my Birthday just recently and I have been doing all sorts of exciting things, one of them been... dying my hair LILAC!

I have been wanting to do this for a while and finally plucked up the courage to do it, I am all about pastel colours and think due to my pale complexion these are the shades that suit me the most!

My inspirations for this colour are as below, as you can see from Kelly Osbourne and Nicole Richie's looks. They are very contrasting Lilac colours, which I like the idea of as you can play about with colours to make it the right colour for you.

How I did it....

First of all you need to purchase the Dye, now for mine I chose La'Riche Directions Semi Permanent Hair colour in the shades Lilac and Violet.

White Conditioner (Any brand as long as its white, this is used to help mix the colours together and get it the colour you would like) Mine was a £1 from a local supermarket and it smells delicious!

A Tinting brush and then a mixing bowl to mix the solution together.

I didn't have any plan when it came to mixing, apart from the first time I did it, I over did it on the conditoner and it didn't take very well at all! I think my main concern was that I didn't want a bright purple (in your face) colour. The other good thing is when you mix with conditoner the actual colour pot lasts longer, which is perfect so then you can keep costs down if you plan to keep up to it!

How it looked the night I did it.

and then the day after I styled it :)

LOVE IT!

The main problem with this type of colouring is that it doesn't last that long, this hair colour is perfect if you fancy a change for a few washes, as I am really liking this colour I will need to keep on top of it and will probably have to top up every 2 weeks!

Any questions about all things Hair Dye, just pop in the comments below or feel free to message me on any of my social sites :)

Thank you for reading!
and see you very soon for Blog of the Day number 2!

Sunday 10 August 2014

It started with a Holiday... that led to the American Make-up Haul

Every blog has to start somewhere and for me it was a brain wave I had whilst I was shopping in a Make Up shop whilst I was on holiday in Florida.

I have such a passion for Make Up and always have done since a very young age, in fact it has and still is the only thing I have ever continuously found fascinating. For me its the idea that we can change how we look from just simple blushers, eye-shadows, liners and lipsticks.

So below is all the exciting little buys I bought whilst I was away, its took me near enough a month to get round to writing this as I have been busy preparing for college and working my full time job. Life is about to get exciting!

The first place I visited was The Cosmetics Company Outlet , the link you can click on takes you the UK's version but I was overwhelmed by how cheap it was at the American Premium outlets that I couldn't resist buying as much as I did.

To the left is a wonderful candy pink coloured blush from Smashbox

The shade is called Prism.

This is generally is my favourite kind of Blush, as I am very pale normally (without a holiday tan) and I think this colour tends to suit me best.

The below Foundation you can see is in the shade Bone and is one of my favourite foundations to use, its absolutely amazing for coverage, Estée Lauder completely got this right when they released the Double Wear formula, brilliant for if you want that Matte finish. This was 1 of 3 foundations I bought on my trip, I am so glad I found this little beauty, as this was one of the biggest savings I made, I worked it out to be around £12.00! Absolute bargain when you think of how much it is in the UK.

Smashbox returns again in the below items, I found these wonderful lip glosses from the Smashbox Wonder Vision collection and as you can see I did a swatch of each below. They are great to wear alone, or over a Lipstick a similar colour.

The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer below is one of my fave pics from their collection, as its specially formulated for blemishs it works perfectly against my skin, if you're like me and have sensitive skin, this is probably the best one from their collection you could use.

I was so happy to find a lot of MAC products as these are typically my most favourable Make up to use. The following are Eye Shadow palettes, which I just LOVE, and cannot wait to use.

The first palette I found was this Nude,Golds and Black Shimmer coloured palette, named 'greenluxe'
This palette is perfect for nights out with a good eye primer or can be toned down for a day look.

The next palette palette named melt my heart also by MAC is perfect for the black smokey eye look, another one of my personal favourite looks to have for a night out. The silver is perfect on the lid, with the black smokes and white used for an highlighting effect in the tear ducts.

The below palette, I purchased for a good friend of mine called Drew, she always looks amazing with brown smokey eyes and she pulls off the look perfectly, I had to get her this palette. It was made for her. It's called Desert Camouflage, within the palette are 4 eye shadows and a blush.

The next palette shown below, was also for a good friend for a belated but yet super fitting birthday present, I wanted to keep this one myself as the colours are lovely! it's from the RiRi collection and this palette is named 2xDare.

The below palette is perfect for my skin tone as its subtle pinks and then deeper purples, a lovely palette for when you fancy a change to the usual nude and browns. This palette is named pinkluxe and has 5 beautiful shades to design with.

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot's are the holy grail of making your eye make up pop. I love these, they're perfect for putting as a base on top of your primer and then applying your shadow. I picked the colours below as they match with a lot of the eye shadow shades I tend to wear, MAC have a range of Paint Pots to choose from so I would highly recommend you to check them out. The colours I chose are bare study and dangerous cuvee.

I am so glad I found MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow because the colour these entail are fabulous. Below is the colour blue flame. They're for a more daring look but as you can see are very pigmented so will look great to stand out.

Below is MAC Pigment, which I chose in the colour cornflower these tend to last a long time and I think you get enough for what you pay for at 4.5g.

Below is the last item that I purchased from The Cosmetics Company Outlet again it's MAC. These two Pressed Pigments are glittery and fit together perfectly. The colours I chose are Jet Couture and Englightening

On one of my last days I visited Walgreens which was really good for your general day to day Make up buys, as these items were purchased at a pharmacy the prices were even lower than expected.

I found the perfect Brow & Eye Highlighter from a company named Milani that I haven't had much experience with before, but I thought this would be perfect for under your brow bone, I was right! It works brilliantly and I am sure with it been a pencil it will last me a long time. I got mine in shade 2 (which would be perfect for all pale skin types)

I had heard a lot of good reviews about the below product, and for such a low price I am glad I invested, I tend to use a lip scrub every night to make sure my lips are always fresh for applying lipstick the day after. EOS sticks to its name (Evolution of Smooth) as it does just that! I chose the flavour strawberry sorbet and it tastes yummy! I like the shape of this lipbalm as its different to just the standard tube balms. I would also recommend this product as its 100% natural ingredients.

I have used the below product for a while now, I purchased this when it was first released in the UK, this cheaper version of Benefits Porefessional is an absolute steal by Maybelline and I would highly recommned this primer to smooth out any imperfetions before applying your foundation. Babyskin -Instant Pore Eraser. It gives your skin a satiny feel and texture and I couldn't resist the opportunity to restock as I was running low on my current one.

The below only cost me $1 each! so I had to invest in 3! Wet-N-Wild do these fabulous little glitter shadows, I think they work great over the same eyeshadow colour to give it that extra sparkle.
I got mine in shades Groupie, Brass/Laiton and Bleached/Delave.

The final items I purchased in Walgreens were these Lip Pens by Revlon they are a mimic of Clinques Chubby Sticks but work in a similar way. These are great Lip Stains, I got mine in the colours 240 Striking Spectaculaire and 220 Showy Flamboyante.

The best place I visited for shopping on my trip was The Mall at Millenia where I first stepped into the most amazing shop in the World also known as Sephora I spent a good 2 hours in this shop, as its every make up idols Heaven. I just hope one day that they bring one of their stores to Leeds in the UK. I also visted the MAC shop which was next door to Sephora

From MAC I purchased, another Mineralize Eyeshadow in the shade Young Punk. These colours are so pigmented! I cannot wait to have the full range.

My favourite foundation in by MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15. In the shade NW20. Perfect for me as I have pink undertones in my skin and is perfect for a small amount and full coverage.

Everyone who knows me, knows I LOVE glitter. These next products are perfect for me. Glitter Brilliants in shades Holographic and Pink.

I have heard such good things about MAC Fix + which is used for setting your Make Up once you have applied all your facial beautys. I am so glad I invested in this!

Sephora coming up last! but by no means least!

The Kat Von D range is amazing, the Make-up she provides is of amazing quality to the point nothing can move from your face whilst wearing, below are the items I bought within Kat Von D.

Lock it Tattoo Foundation in the shade 'Light 46'

Lock'n'Load Make Up Setting Mist.

Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Jeffree'

Waterproof Ink Liner in the shade 'Trooper'

Benefit - Bad Gal Lash

Sephora - Bronzed and blushing face palette.

Urban Decay - Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Urban Decay - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in shade 'Zero'

Too Faced - The Return of Sexy Palette, includes Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner and Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer.

Too Faced - Sweethearts - Perfect Flush Blush.

and finally...... Anastasia Beverly Hills

I was so happy to finally get my hands on these perfect eyebrow Make up goods. The only thing I was gutted about not getting was the Contour Kit as they had sold out everywhere!

This concludes my American Make Up Haul! I told you it was going to be a long one! If you have any questions about any of the items I bought please don't hesitate to ask! To all make up fanatics out there, you can probably see I like to spend most of my time researching which products I would love the most.

If you ever get the chance to visit Florida, Orlando, I would highly recommend it! There is definitely more to it than just Make Up :)

Thank you for reading and see you very soon!
